David became a member of the Summit business community in 2000 when he opened David’s Imported Rugs next door to Lois Schneider’s Realty. For the next 8 years, he provided quality rugs from many foreign countries, traveling there personally to choose the best products. He served over a thousand households in this area with a unique quality of personal service and integrity.

As David served the Summit community and its environs, the community gradually became more than simply his place of business. As his business and family grew, David, and his wife, Betsy – who lived in Manhattan were increasingly attracted to the family appeal and sophistication of life in Summit - its tradition of high expectations for not only work but also its simple home life culture. In 2003, they left New York City and moved to Summit.

He also provided rug cleaning services to his customers and continues to do so. However, he was forced to close his retail store in June 2008 due to increasing rents.

Recently, in an effort to marry his familiarity with the local area with his love of quality, service to clients, and his personal experience, David partnered up with a dry cleaner to bring you the latest in environmentally friendly dry cleaning—GreenEarth® Cleaning. It is a revolutionary new and green dry-cleaning method - good for your clothes, good for the earth, and simply good for everybody.
